@miawinter @privateger i mean part of it might also be the fact that it seems like theyve been having manufacturing problems

i mean this is more of a machine/frame issue but supposedly memory manufacturers just arent taking them seriously and overpricing them while not giving them nearly enough product

i remember the steam deck originally had a lot of initial pain with making enough quickly enough, but youd think they wouldve solved that problem before releasing these new products.

not sure if i want to get a samsung, pixel, or an iphone

probably not an iphone im too android brained

but like, all phones are just kinda the same these days and expensive.

i used to have samsung, was ride or die for a bit there (annoying) and i like OneUI which ig is a hot take among people who care too much.

getting a pixel would give me full choice for alternate operating systems, and the phones are certifiably fine

iPhone would only be socially convenient, allowing for my partner and i to have some shared things.

dunno, for sure pixel is cheapest option but bweh

ive had a oneplus 9 pro since like 2021 and it has worked perfectly fine this entire time up until my dumb ass bricked it a few months ago, and im using a fairphone 5 which is like fine until the battery gets low (the power saving is so aggressive its almost impossible to use)
