@nellePoint don't know much about maven but will be forced to learn because of work. does a maven repo constitute a hosted platform / special software or is it like git where a repo can just be a folder on a filesystem?

@thermia hmmm i imagine you could just do a filesystem host of directories, so long as it meets the the expected standard

@thermia generally special software is used as it makes deploying a lot easier, some git forges like forgejo support hosting maven repos
