i made my singular bad purchase decision of the month and paid $60 for a DCS-F717, because my F505 stopped working

the unique difference between the two besides the various more 'modern' upgrades, is that it has NightShot!

the mode on the camera is set to auto forcably when in nightshot, apparently because of "see-thru-clpthing" worries
