shrimpnet is registering trailing periods on links as part of the link

which makes sense sometimes theres a period in a link

but, nelle.observer/projects.

people often punctuate the end of their sentences which so happen to end with links, and i keep clicking them to see a 404 page

ah, i see part of the problem maybe

incoming posts dont get trailing slashes removed like new local posts do

@nellePoint idk what the right answer is here because dots are valid url characters, so i guess just remember to put a space after urls or otherwise disprefer autolinking in favor of manual linking (possibly with suggesting links at compose time)
