update: the servers have been up for around an hour and wplace has just released an announcement. they still have not fixed the verification bot or their discord permissions, so message history is hidden if you didn't happen to have discord up when the announcement went out. im honestly impressed at this point

As a precaution, we temporarily took the servers offline to investigate the situation thoroughly. ✅ Our analysis is now complete — we found no evidence of a data breach. We do not store any payment information on our servers. ⚠️ However, we identified and fixed a session issue where a small number of users were logged into different accounts after refreshing the page. This was caused by a session token refresh error and only affected sessions older than 15 days. 💡 Thanks to quick reports from affected players, we resolved the issue promptly and implemented changes to prevent it from happening again.
