Steins;Gate Re:Boot Spoilersalright after some issues with audio (needed to set proton ge 11-5), ive cleared the prologue
thoughts so far, theyve definitely added some extra lines here, specifically making okabe more suspicious about the suzuha appearance, the kurisu encounter, and whether or not he saw kurisu dead or stabbed.
theyve also slightly changed some lingo usage and things he says about mayuri.
the observer button appears to show you the current divergence meter reading, and the rough events on the timeline, very interested to see how this feature will progress when things split around especially during the mayuri death blitz.
Steins;Gate Re:Boot Spoilershm, so with the phone, in the original game when you are prompted to call or email somebody you have to pull out the phone and navigate there yourself. also while typing the email replies sometimes you have to press the button to continue writing. and when you reply to an email you can check the contents of the reply before hitting send and go back to the old reply.
in elite, you are given essentially no control over anything except for which reply to send.
in this its much like the original title, however when okabe calls or emails somebody he just kinda does it, no user prompt. and you cannot check reply contents before sending, if you select an option and hit reply then its done, youre sending that reply.
Steins;Gate Re:Boot Spoilersi dont like that this feature straight up tells the player that the timeline has changed before the player theoretically understands this plotpoint fully
Steins;Gate Re:Boot Spoilersso theyve recontextualized yanabayashi shrine as being a tiny shrine in the middle of a high rise area instead of its own like park-like area
Steins;Gate Re:Boot Spoilersfirstly, the fact that the attached achievement is in the game means lukako has infact not been fixed at all. mr incredible becomes uncanny.
anyway, chapter 1 FIN, stopping there for now. currently finding the extra lines fascinating, daru says some extra stuff about the first dmail experience, notable lack of telling kurisu the content of said email.
so far this chapter went mostly according to how i remember it, they changed the way the omelette scene went slightly, disappointing but oh well.
Steins;Gate Re:Boot Spoilersinteresting, in this version of the laundromat scene okabe is intent on describing his experience at radikan in the other worldline as a hallucination, and is suggesting that perhaps the time machine is a part of this hallucination, a hallucination of the world
maybe we are mixing in a little more chaos;head this time around, very interesting.
Steins;Gate (original)@nellePoint the first time i played s;g i had no idea you could do that because the game just moved on as if okabe didn't want to answer
iirc after getting the first ending in the original, the textbox starts using a different icon to indicate that you can interact with the phone and slows the text down no matter your text speed, and that's when i understood it was a branch
